Family Engraulididae, Clupeidae and Atherinidae (anchovy).
Small silvery fish with a very prominent elongated and rounded muzzle and a widely slit mouth.
They feed on plankton, moving in schools with perfectly coordinated movements.
They are found near the coast, in dark areas, near caves or overhangs.
Meal much appreciated by many predators among the Trevally, Thazards, Pelicans and humans who make it a variant of cod accras.
